Saving energy and improving comfort by reducing radiant heat flux into, and out of, buildings of all shapes and sizes.
Sigma produces a series of radiant barrier products specifically designed to block radiant heat energy from entering, or leaving, residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Unlike conventional radiant barriers that require reflective films to be laminated to a reinforcing scrim, Sigma radiant barriers include single-layer fabric (up to 96" wide) whereon the reflective surfaces are directly deposited. The resulting product has a higher strength and greater resistance to corrosion.
Superior corrosion resistance for long-lasting performance.
Oxidation and corrosion can mean the death of any radiant barrier. If the metallic layer, or layers, for reflecting are corroded, or otherwise compromised, product performance can be greatly impacted - reducing product effectiveness and ROI for the building owner. Every roll of radiant barrier produced at Sigma is tested for maximum reflectivity both before and after accelerated aging, which involved exposing the reflective surfaces to temperatures in excess of 90˚C with at 100% humidity.
Higher strength in a lower thickness and a lighter weight.
Other radiant barrier companies are still relying on outdated lamination technology, where the only way to add strength is by making the radiant barrier thicker, heavier and more difficult to handle. Sigma Technologies has developed the next generation of radiant barrier products by avoiding the use of adhesives and films in the lamination process. The result is a product with 2X to 3X the strength of other similar reinforced radiant barrier products and at nearly half the weight.
